Transferring data with quickstart is stuck in a loop
I have been trying to transfer data from my IPhone SE (2020) to an Iphone 8 Plus using quickstart. Whenever I input my Apple ID on the Iphone 8 I am returned to the 'transfer data' options page where it asks me to choose how I would like to transfer my data (with another iphone, with icloud, with a mac or pc etc.) I seem to be stuck in a loop and cannot transfer my data with quickstart. I've tried to backup my SE onto ITunes and then put that backup onto the 8 Plus but ITunes says that the version of IOS on it is older than the backup and needs to be updated, however I cannot update the 8 Plus further than the version it's running (I think it's 16.7.5 or something) because IOS 17 (which is what my SE is on) doesn't run on IPhones pre the XS. Is this why quickstart doesn't work either? Is there any way to book a genius bar appt. for this specific problem to see if an apple technician can work this out?
