I bought the new iPhone 15 and transferred everything from the cloud based on my old XR phone. Both phones have my gift card missing, my Starbucks, Olive Garden, Ulta’s, and Chick-a-filla. All gone. I disposed the original gift cards last year. Are they sitting somewhere in the cloud? Or another app on my old phone new phone?

An update would not affect your gift cards nor balances as neither is stored directly on the device. The SIM card on an iPhone stores no data.
Only the provider can assist you with your balances. Eg. A Starbucks gift card cannot be added directly into your wallet in the same way a credit card can be added. The balance is added to your Starbucks account using the Starbucks app. The App then allows you to add your loyalty card into the wallet or use the app to make a purchase. If you have 4 app accounts with no balance, the funds have likely already been spent. Most provider apps or websites will show your transactions and balance information for your cards/account.

the gift card balances are not showing under the provider under the old phone or the new one. Maybe an update removed the balances or the deactivation of the SIM card on the old. It’s too much of a coincidence that four separate apps lost their balances on the old phone. I don’t have the gift cards any longer.
