Instagram app wont let me log in - iPhone 15
Got a new iPhone in May, did the transfer of information and was logged into my apps no problem. I was then randomly logged out of the Instagram app one night and now cannot login on my iPhone 15, I can on the iPad and through a web browser, but the app on my iPhone specifically tells me “that login didn’t work”. Previously, it told me I was using an “incorrect password”, despite the same password being used successfully on other devices.
Interestingly, I had the same problem on my last iPhone but with Facebook. The Facebook issue has revolved itself with a new phone, but now the same issue has replicated itself with Instagram.
For reference, I have tried the following fixes:
- Unlinking account from Meta Accounts centre
- deleting all meta apps, cache and associated files through iPhone storage
- Changing password
- resetting phone network settings
- redownloading app
- trying to force app login through web page
- getting meta verified to troubleshoot issue with Instagram (pointless, a waste of $)
- scouring the internet to try everyone else’s solutions.
Do I have to buy a whole new phone? 😔
