How to stop a specific folder from undownloading to icloud

I am a content creator and I have videos in a folder. But they keep uploading to the cloud and it becomes annoying to download them whenever I want to edit my video. Sometimes because the files are so large it takes a long time.

I don't want to turn off iCloud but just for one folder. Is that possible?

Worse, there is no option to choose to keep them downloaded. How do I stop syncing 1 particular folder in my iPhotos into my iCloud I have 1 folder in my iPhotos where I save all my jpeg/raw photos. This is where I upload them from my camera. They are very large and I only want to save the ones I edit and like into my iCloud not every photo I take. How can I stop downloading files to my computer from iCloud? I initiated a mass download of files from my iCloud account to my computer, regretfully. I would like to stop the files from downloading to my computer and put them back into the iCloud. How?

You can move those items to a location that does not sync with iCloud. Or, you can turn off optimize files
