Migration Assistant and Thunderbolt cable

So having done quite a few migrations via Ethernet link. Today, as recommended by the assistant itself I go and buy the Apple Thunderbolt 4 Pro Cable for the faster transfer.

M1 MacBook Pro to M3 MacBook Pro it will not see the Thunderbolt cable they use WiFi Peer-to-Peer connection.

So frustrated as 1, I bought this so I didn’t have work into the night transferring files and 2, I just spent a heap of money on a cable that’s of now real use and I cannot get refunded.
