Is it advisable to shut down my MacBook Air M2 every night?

Just received my new Apple MacBook Air M2. Excited!

I know this question has been asked and there are many different answers.

I only use my computer during the day, so should I shut down at night? and

is shutting down every night hard on the computer hardware?

There is no significant benefit to shutting it down every night. MacBooks are designed to be put to sleep, rather than being shut off every single night. Whether or not you choose to do this won't affect the longevity of your device in any significant way.

I would just choose to put it to sleep for the convenience factor as well as the fact that it is the way Apple intended for you to use the device. I only restart my MacBook whenever I feel it's getting sluggish.
