How can I use the "object eraser" on my iPhone 14 Pro Max photos?

How do you use the "object eraser"? I open the photo with the object I want erased. I click on the markup tool in the upper right hand corner. I click on the eraser and used object eraser but there's nothing else I can do after that. I've tried tapping and clicking dragging it and nothing works. I have looked it up online they've done the step-by-step instructions just like that but nothing happens and nobody seems to be answering any questions on here.
