Why does my Apple Podcasts app skip during streaming an episode?

I see other people have asked this question but I don’t see a solve or response from Apple so I’m asking again. On an iPhone 14 Pro that is updated to the latest software, the Apple Podcasts app skips around during streaming an episode. The scrub bar doesn’t move so it’s impossible to scroll back to the spot that was skipped. I have auto downloads turned on so the most recent ep of any pod is being played from a download and still skips. Any solves?
