Duplicated Text Messages on Apple Watch Since Update

Since updating my Apple Watch I have been receiving duplicated text massages. One that includes the original person I texted and another text that contains their response to me, which includes my contact as a separate person. I've also been receiving texts from groups that I have blocked on my iPhone on my watch, that I was not getting prior to updating my watch. Is anyone else experiencing this or know a fix?
