In Mac music playlist can one set the time on how long each song is played.
Say I only want to play 2 minutes of each song in a playlist, can this be done?

Your observations are correct. There is no way to set Start and Stop for every song in a playlist at once. You can't even edit the Start and Stop of multiple items at one, nor is there a View option to see which tracks have it set.
Yes. Right-click the song, Get Info, go to the Options tab, and set the Start and Stop times for the song.
I found a script on Dougs scripts that works for me.

I tired to make the change using Options but I have hundreds of songs that I want to do this to.
I thought there could be an option in a Playlist to set how long to play a song for.
Also there is no View option to show which songs have the time set, not sure why the View option does not allow one to pick any of the Options fields.
