I converted my physical sim into an eSIM (less than 24 hours ago) and now my phone number won’t verify when using iMessage / FaceTime. It has been verifying for over 9 hours. I have also updated to the latest version (IOS 17.6.1). Can anyone help with this?

Contact your cellular provider and request to unlock the sms from your phone line because iMessage and FaceTime requires the sms unlocked to activate those services
17.6.1 seemed to break eSIM cards... Shame on apple. I'm preforming a revert to iOS 17.6 using iTunes... Shame
Me too, apple's newest update isnt good at all.. I have no cell service and this happened today August 10th ever since I updated from iOS 17.6...
