Why does my Apple Card say "Payment Failed" when used in Apple Store?

Whenever I try to use my Apple Card via my phone with the Apple Store it says “Payment failed”. (NOT DECLINED).

I use the Apple Card for everything else (ie Nordstrom just the other day) and it goes through no problem. But when I wan tot buy something apple.com PAYMENT FAILED

Just got off phone with cc and they say it’s not an issue with them. Apple can’t figure it out. Really apple???

Call 1-800-MY-APPLE to complete the transaction, or visit an Apple Retail Store. You’re applying multiple discounts and the system isn’t figuring it out. I’m a former Apple Store Manager and I’ve seen this before. 😢
