Adding website to Home Screen

I am having difficulty adding a website to the home screen of my iPhone. I know you are supposed to hit the box with the arrow, but when I do “Add to home screen” does not come up as an option. I have tried hitting “Edit actions” so I can make it an option. However, when I do, “Add to home screen” still does not come up as an option. What should I do?
