phone dropped in water and it won’t charge and won’t turn on

my daughter dropped her phone in water and we have been letting it dry out for 2-3 days and it won’t charge or turn on. It’s not showing any signs of life. It turned on 1 time and then died and won’t turn back on and we know it’s still working but it won’t charge. The battery thing isn’t showing up either. We tried leaving it on the charger for 30 minutes but that didn’t work either. And I have no idea what to do. Do I have to go somewhere and get it fixed or something?

Water is lethal to electronics. The phone is water damaged and as such, unrepairable. You can schedule an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar, but they won't try to repair it. They'll offer you an "out of warranty" replacement, but that won't be inexpensive. Checking the price for iPhone 14, which would be classified as "other damage" the cost will be $549.
