Was the local shop an Authorized Apple Service Provider? Since they had full access to your computer, I would recommend Factory Resetting the Mac and restore from a backup before you took it into the shop.

You have no idea what someone could have installed on your computer and they can even hide files, so they do not show up making it very difficult to find them. The way to be 100% sure that nothing is installed is to Factory Reset the Mac and restore from a backup before you turned over control to someone else.

EtreCheck is a good tool that can be used to see what files are running on startup and will even show hidden files. It will also show if there has been any changes to your Hosts file that can redirect any network communication. It is not perfect, but I would say it will be able to identify 90% of the problems you may experience by someone else having access to your computer. This is a free tool and you can post the report here using the Additional Text option when posting. There is no personal information in the report.

IF all is true, and there is a site to perform a review, I, myself, would author a review for it(don't sown rude).
