bluetooth mouse not pairing with iPad

I bought a new logi M240 wireless mouse to use for an iPad- it locates the device but keep saying not close enough to pair but sure is close. I believe its not the mouse but something else. Can anyone help please?

As described, assuming that other Bluetooth devices work as expected with your iPad, your Mouse may have a fault. Ensure that your iPad has been updated to iPadOS 14 or later.


You would be best advised to:

1) Try to pair and test the Mouse with another computer.

2) Contact Logitech Support for assistance.

3) Return the Mouse to the retailer from which it was purchased.
