To reset Face ID on your iPhone, you need to first remove the existing Face ID data and then set it up again. Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Open Settings: Tap on the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Go to Face ID & Passcode: Scroll down and select "Face ID & Passcode." You’ll need to enter your passcode to proceed.
  3. Reset Face ID: Tap on "Reset Face ID." This will remove the current Face ID data from your device.
  4. Set Up Face ID Again: After resetting, you can set up Face ID again by tapping "Set Up Face ID." Follow the on-screen instructions to register your face.

Make sure you’re in a well-lit environment and hold your iPhone at eye level while setting up Face ID for the best results.

I’ll assume Face ID is not working, or is reporting an error.

Here is what to do: If Face ID isn't working on your iPhone or iPad Pro - Apple Support

If that checklist fails to resolve the issue you are (probably) reporting, then there is quite possibly a hardware problem with the TrueDepth camera, and that can mean a repair. Contact Apple Support, amd discuss your options and alternatives with them.
