MacBook Pro 2017 Display Flex repair ?

Hi

I got this MacBook Pro A1707 that has a black screen,

display brightness works but no image,

when I got It, it had bezzle damage and flex is a bit cut, I was hoping to solder it back,as price for new part is same price as second hand laptop..

is that possible?

is this area of the flex responsible for the whole display ?

could it have something to do with the TCON module maybe failed ?

thanks

There is not enough of the good section of the cable between the panel & the break. Even if there was a way to fix it, there isn't anything to work with here. Even if you tried to remove the cable from the front of the panel (assuming it can even be unsoldered from the front), it is likely the heat needed will damage the panel.

FYI, the only cable repair I've seen has to do with the other end of the cable in order to replace the connector where the cable is known to break. Even then, I've only seen a very small cable being spliced onto the original. It is not an easy repair, nor a pretty one.
