Apple Watch competition points not making sense

Can someone please explain to me how the person I am competing against has been getting 600 points every single day and they close about 100% of their rings, while I’m closing closer to 150% of my rings. Everything I looked up about how the competition points work and how you earn points doesn’t add up correctly for her stats while I believe mine is reporting correctly.
