The answer has been given. You can update an iPhone X to the latest version of iOS 16. No iOS 17 (or 18) for the iPhone X. iOS 16 is the end of the line.
The latest supported update for the iPhone X is iOS 16. If you haven't updated iOS 16 yet, do so immediately.
For this, you need to go to the Settings app, go to the General toggle, enter the Software Update toggle and download the update presented to you. Once downloaded, make sure you have sufficient battery and storage to update your phone. Then, let your phone update itself.
