How do I remove Contacts in bulk on my iPhone?

I have a lot of contacts, all imported to the phone in the same import, by error, and I would to remove these. Any suggestions other than one by one?

If you've manually created a new list, the Contacts can be deleted by going to the Contacts app > Tapping on "Lists" at the top-left > Then tap edit > Press the Delete button

Else: If you use iCloud,

it may be easiest to delete multiple contacts there, as you can select one or more contacts to delete:

or

if appropriate: Get rid of duplicate contacts on iPhone - Apple Support

Else: Wondering if you backed up your current contacts before you imported more contacts.

If so, you can always revert to the "before import" back-up.

Finally: Rather than "one-by-one", if all else fails : There's a (non-Apple) article online (link below) that describes and illustrates how to delete groups of Contacts that are listed together in the Contacts app:
