To disable the pop-up blocker on an OSX computer:

click Safari on the top menu bar (to the right of the Apple icon),
click 'Preferences',
select the 'Security' tab, and.
turn off 'Block pop-ups'.

What type of pop ups are you referring to, Notification, ads etc…?
