I am not able to empty my trash on my MacBook Air
I want to delete my entire trash on my MacBook Air, but it says it can’t be deleted because something in the trash pathname is too long.

Click on the Trash icon on the Dock to open the Trash folder in the Finder.
Select an item and right-click or Control-click on the item and select "Delete Immediately...". Do this for every top level item in the Trash folder until you find the one with the problem. Once you find the folder with the problem, then open it and navigate deeper into the folder. Try the "Delete Immediately..." option again until you can delete a folder, then do the same with other files/folders at that level. Then navigate back to the top of the Trash & try deleting that top level folder (within the Trash) again. Rinse & repeat until you are able to delete them all.
You may end up finding that one of the file/folder names could be the problem.
