MAC SWITCHING KEYBOARDS WHEN DICTATING

I mainly write in English and French, and I use the dictate function frequently. Since the last OS update, which allows you to use the keyboard while dictating, the computer automatically switches the keyboard to the language in which you are dictating. This is a complete nightmare. I don’t understand why this happens because I have a physical US QWERTY keyboard, but it switches to a French AZERTY layout when I dictate in French. This is driving me crazy because every time I start typing again or even use shortcuts, it disrupts my workflow. I have to manually switch back to the US layout using the keyboard icon at the top of the screen.

Apple, please fix this problem! Thanks.
