Today I started getting notifications to activate an eSIM from Cricket Wireless. I have never had service through Cricket, nor have I ever contacted them to start a new service, so I really have no idea why it is showing up on my phone. I purchased the phone from Apple and I do not live in the US.

Sounds like spam. If you get a message (email, text, call, etc.) from a service provider, or a bank or similar entity, telling you to update or activate or change anything, always go to that company's website, or call their customer service, and find out if the message is for real. Usually it's not. And don't use any links or numbers in the original message - use information you already have, or open a new browser window and search for the company. Essentially, you should initiate a completely separate connection with the provider, especially if you need to log into your account. If it's from a company you've never dealt with, ignore and delete.

I contacted Cricket Wireless and they said to do a hard reset. They also said they activate esim via email notification.
Then it’s most likely some sort of scam
the message in Italian is “a cricket esim is ready to be configured on iPhone”

To finish setting up the cellular network on this iPhone, activate the Cricket cellular plan eSIM.
Is it possible to solve this problem somehow?
I have already reset the network settings. No success.
