Adjusting colors and appearance

Settings for Display, Desktop/Dock, Wallpaper, and Screensaver aren't helpful. The Accessibility > Display settings don't respond and ? don't even show buttons when I go to that pane:

Login and test. Reboot as normal and test.

try making some change to all three options here and compare your results.
