New Macbook Air M13 13" box not sealed

I recently purchased a Macbook Pro 14" at Costco. The outer box was sealed, and the inner box also sealed. In fact, the white inside box had two tabs I had to tear in order to open the box, just like my recent iPhone purchase.

I returned this Macbook Pro unopened because it had been dropped (hard), and I had since decided to move to an Air M3 anyway.

So I get the new Macbook Air M13 from Costco (hey, $200 off is $200). The outer cardboard box was taped up, but appeared to still be sealed. But the inner white box was different! It didn't have seals that you would have to tear, proving the box had not been opened before. This one had a folded tab with a tacky backing, but you could easily fold it back and tape it up again. The laptop itself appeared to be wrapped in the paper wrap correctly, and the screen had the tissue protector.

Am I being paranoid here? I paid a lot of money here, and there doesn't appear to be any way to verify this is a valid new apple product. Why would Apple drop the fantastic seal and add a simple piece of tape?

Return this:

Apple never sold this to you --Costco did, by your reporting. If there is no H-Seam, and no stretch wrapping, then it has obviously been opened. So, return this. If it is too good of a deal, then it is like a scam.
