Brightness Issue on iPhone 13 with IOS 17.6.1

Hey guys,

since the recent bug fixing Update to 17.6.1 the display of my iPhone 13 is peaking at approx 250-300 nits (equal of a friend's iPhone 13 Pro at ~20-25% of max brightness (1000 nits).

I tried restarting, turning off dark mode, true tone, and night shift.

When turning down the brightness, the screen is almost black even inside without the sun shining on the phone.

Hoping this is an internal software bug regulating the brightness and not the screen.

If anyone has any suggestions or is experiencing a similar thing, it would be amazing to know.

Thanks!

New Note: When (hard-) restarting the iPhone, the Apple logo is significantly brighter during the loading/starting screen, then dims radically right before the phone is usable.

I had the same issue. Finally found a solution for my situation. Either lower or turn off the REDUCE WHITE POINT feature.
