Siri does not work on my MacBook Pro

Ok,

• Do you have Siri in the menubar? If so does the UI show that it is listening when it is tapped?
• Are you attempting to access it with "Hey Siri" and that setting is on at Settings > Siri & Spotlight
• Do you have an external Mic or using AirPods?
• Go to Settings > Sound > Input, is it showing MacBook Pro Microphone with the Input Volume turned up and you see the Input Level bounce when talking?
• If you have Screen Time turned on, is it allowed at Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > App & Feature Restrictions > Siri & Dictation?

For starters, make sure you have Siri on. Choose Apple menu > System Settings, click Siri & Spotlight in the sidebar, then turn on Ask Siri on the right.

Note: If you can’t turn on Siri, Screen Time Content & Privacy Restrictions may be preventing you from using it. Make sure your Siri is on in the Screen Time Content & Privacy Restrictions in Settings.

Try shutting down and restarting your Mac.

Unclear which OS version you are using. You posted on the Ventura forum, but your tagline is showing Sonoma. If using Sonoma, have you updated to 14.6.1?

If you have tried all those options, try Contact - Official Apple Support, they may be able to run a diagnostic test and sorts that we cannot do.

Was your sound input set to your external Mic and did that option appear?

What brand of Mic are you using?

Or did the "yes" pertain to AirPods?
