iPhone 14 apple clear MagSafe case yellowed after a little more than 1 year.

I buy apple cases as I expect them to be higher quality and last longer than most aftermarket cases. My MagSafe clear has turned ugly yellow , most notable on all the edges. Apple support says 1 year warranty not going to help me ? Does this seem correct that a case with every normal use would yellow . I am sure it started while in warranty period but I didn't notice it right away . Shouldn't Apple make it right and replace it ?

But I can notice that it is not the official case of Apple. It’s ESR,a local brand (Can check at the picture) which I also used for a while and became yellow. So it’s not a fault from Apple.

Good observation! Though the original author did state they bought it from an Apple Store, which is confusing.

Most clear phone cases are made of Polyurethane, which turns yellow when exposed to UV light. This can occur if the case is exposed to sunlight or even regular light sources that emit some UV radiation.

Apple does offers a one-year standard manufacturer warranty on their cases that covers manufacturer's defects.

You can let Apple know your feedback and even adding a UV protection coating ⇢ Feedback - iPhone - Apple
