I’ve forgotten my password on my ipad

I can’t get in to my iPad, I’m locked out it say , iPad unavailable, what do I do?

Your only option is to reset the iPad (which completely erases it) …


… followed by restoration from a backup

If you have encountered the iPad Unavailable Screen, you will have to reset your device. Tap Forgot Password in the bottom corner of your screen. On the Security Lockout screen, tap Start iPad Reset to confirm. Then, enter your Apple ID password to sign out of your Apple ID on your device. Then erase your device to delete all data, when you enter back into your iPad, you can restore from a backup.
