How long does it take for a refund to appear or process in Apple Wallet?

I used my Apple wallet digital credit card number provided through the wallet and logged I into my wallet in Walmart app as a form of payment to pay a transaction. I had to return on of the purchased items because it was faulty the customer service rep said I can ether get the refund on a gift card or get it returned back on the card used no cash back. It was supposed to be returned automatically but I got home and checked it still hasn’t been refunded. What do I do to get my money back when I’ve already given back the merchandise?

Merchants (Walmart in your case) control the speed of the refund. They are your best source of information about your refund. However, I can explain the process and give your a rough time line on when your funds are usually available after a refund.

All you currently have is the receipt for the item and information about the return. Walmart corporate will process the refund and tell their bank to send funds to the bank that issued the credit card you used for the original purchase. This whole process usually takes 5 to 7 business days. Some merchants are slower than others and some case you may wait several weeks for the funds.

Apple is not a part of the refund and won’t have any information about it. There should be a phone number on the receipt that you can call and talk to Walmart support team if you need further information.
