Recommendation: “Transferring” is a bit of a misnomer, the process actually copies the info onto your new device.
i.e. It all remains on your old device.
You will be given the opportunity to erase your old device near the end of the process.
Suggest that you “decline” and NOT do so until you’ve used your new device for a few days.
