Finding myself in my photos

You might want to check your iPhone is updated to the newest iOS 17 version.

Eg: Look in Settings > General > software updates and see if an update is waiting to be installed.

(If so: it is wise to back up your iPhone data first)

Else: If your phone is already updated to iOS 17.6.1, you might want to try re-starting it: (deletes temporary files, re-establishes connections, updates recent setting changes etc., and often restores order if something is not working as expected). See how to: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

If you still can't find yourself in your photos.

To find photos of a yourself that you named, open the Photos app on your iPhone, then do either of the following:

• Tap Albums, tap People & Pets, then tap a person or pet to see all of the photos and videos they’re in.
• Tap Search, then enter a name in the search field, or tap a name below People.

To keep names and faces organised in your People album.

Is the "Selfies" album missing? It should be in the Albums tab, under "Media Kind".

Or are you not able to access the album with your own photos in the "People & Pets" album.
