MacBook Air M2 2022 Keyboard problems
I bought my MacBook Air M2 2022 new in September '22, and for the most part I have zero complaints. However, a little more than one year in, I began to notice issues with the keyboard. These mostly take the form of intermittent functioning with certain keys (the malfunctioning keys are always the same regardless of what I'm doing on the computer, what app is being used, etc). Sometimes the problem is a "freezing" of the keyboard's function as a whole during certain operations in certain apps, for example using Safari to change passwords/account settings on Facebook can bring the whole keyboard to a non-functioning state within the specific tab. I considered this might be a Safari or Facebook problem, and that the whole app or site was freezing, but I can switch tabs to somewhere else within Facebook at the same time, and everything is functioning just fine there, it's only the keyboard function in a specific tab.
I have the 13" M2 2022 version, model MLY33LL/A. This problem has persisted throughout various releases of MacOS, including the factory version and every update since, using official and beta releases. I have tried Safe Mode, updating MacOS versions to latest release using official releases as well as beta testers, resetting all sorts of hardware and software operations, nothing has an effect on this issue. I've seen that Apple offers a Service Program for keyboard hardware issues that sound remarkably like my problems, but only for MacBook, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro models made between 2015 and 2019. It's obvious to me this problem has persisted well past the manufacturing years included in this fix, and I'm wondering if Apple has any plans to extend this Service Program or to create another one for later year MacBooks with keyboard problems. Any help is much appreciated.
