Providing your personal information including email address on any public site is the number one reason why you are receiving these scams.

For phone calls, contact your cell provider. Many of them have options for Spam blocking that just needs to be turned on. As you are aware, the numbers are spoofed so blocking them individually on your device will have no effect.

You can also filter unknown messages on your device.

Once your email address has been exposed to others it is impossible to retract it from the scammers. The best option is to change your email address. If the address is your Apple ID, that can be changed as well.

Apple does offer a service called Hide My Email that allows you to manage email accounts that you may want to give out so they can be easily cancelled.

As for the calls, welcome to the 21st century and digital age.

The first way to decrease spam is to not post your email address on a forum where everybody in the world can see it. I have requested it be edited.

You can try blocking a number but it is probably fake anyway. Frankly I have just learned to delete them unread.

I only get the calls. But then my main telephone number is a landline which can't receive texts from anybody. ;-) My iPhone has a number which only 3 people in the world know.
