Dead drive questions...

Hello all,

I am currently trying to recover some informations off of a failed macbook drive using an external reader.

When I plug it in, all that shows up is my bootcamp partition. Is the fact that the OS X partition doesn't show up mean that I cannot access any of the information? Is everything really at a loss (minus bootcamp... >_<)?

15" MacBook Pro 2.66GHz 4GB, Mac OS X (10.6.4), Bootcamp Win7

Hey mate. I have two questions:

1) Are you connecting the case to a windows or mac?

2) Does the size of the boot camp partition reflect the full size of the actual hard drive, or is it only showing the size you gave the windows partition?

I am using a mac to read it, and the partition size reflects only the partition for bootcamp.

I am currently looking at the full drive in a recovery program... wish me luck!!
