Honda CRV not announcing text messages when using Bluetooth connection

When I upgraded to iPhone 15 a few months ago my Honda CRV is no longer announcing incoming text messages. I have the announce messages setting on the iPhone selected. Are there any other settings I need to check? I am not using CarPlay and am using Honda’s handsfree link.

Open the Settings App.

Tap Bluetooth

Tap the little circle with i in it next to your car

Make sure Show Notifications is turned on
