Hello, running Malware Removal in CleanMyMacX. It has found /private/var/root/.profile
and identifies it as "Riskware" ("Riskware is a type of legitimate software that can pose a potential risk to the security of a computer system or network if used for malicious purposes.")
Does anyone here know if this an important file or if I can just delete it?

You can't, and neither can CleanMyMac. That folder is protected with access only to system, and wheel. Both OS user accounts.
Do your Mac a huge favor and get rid of CreamMyMac. It's not only useless, experienced users here consider it malware.
