Most of my music in iTunes on my Mac running Big Sur won’t play

Most of the songs in my Music library (downloaded music from iTunes Store and from CD's) won't play. I get a spinning beach ball and have to force quit. I've tried restarting, importing from Time Machine an earlier library, importing the songs 1 at a time, and nothing works. I have 16 gb Ram and I have a green graph for that. Also, my window shakes and rolls extremely fast until the library completely shows up.

Big Sur, 4ghz Quad-core Intel i7, 2TB internal HD,

I have no clue how to fix this.

Thanks, Sharon
