Stop FinalCut Pro From scanning audio plugins

Everytime I open FinalCut Pro it scans all the audio plugins from my plugins folder and this takes hours because I have so many plugins I use for music production on my ableton DAW. Can this be fixed to choose only the plugins I want when opening Final Cut?

It is not normal to check all the plugins every time it starts, although we've had reports of this happening.

One workaround (annoying though it may be):

Make a folder beside the one containing the plugins and call it something line "VST (disabled)"

Make a little script, shortcut or Automator action that moves unneeded plugins to this folder (and optionally calls FCP, so you can do this with one double-click)

Make a complementary script that puts those plugins back.
