Apple Preview: Remove margins in the Presentation mode

Hi, I try to use Presentation mode in Apple Preview to be able to read a PDF book in a comfortable mode (when one sees the whole page on the screen). However, some extremely smart guy from Apple decided that there must be margins around the document in this mode. The margins are at least half-centimeter from both the top and the bottom of the screen.

Does anyone know if I can remove these margins somehow?

When I use Preview's Slideshow mode, the entire PDF page (or pages) is surrounded by a black background. This does not differ by appearance mode. In regular viewing mode, you can pick a custom, but not transparent color for the background that surrounds a PDF document. That setting is at the bottom of Preview's Settings > General. This color is not present in a Slideshow viewing.

Define your interpretation of "Presentation mode?" Is it full-screen mode, or using the View menu > Slideshow selection? In either case, you have no control over how the PDF is presented to you. That is why I suggested Apple Books. Did you try that approach?
