Smart home control with iPad Air 12.5.7

Good afternoon I have the following question. There is a smart home based on the home center, which was implemented on iPad Air 12.5.7. When I immediately wanted to create another smart home, also controlled from my old iPad, the created home stopped appearing in the cloud and on all my other devices. I would like to clarify, do I need to buy a new iPad or do I already need to install Apple TV (3rd generation) or HotePOD as a home control center, and only after that connect my new tablet or is it possible to connect the old one?

Each home will need its own always-on, always internet connected, home hub device.

You can configure each home on one and the same iPhone or iPad with a given Apple ID, as the Home app supports multiple homes. Home app on iPad - Apple Support
