Google classroom is not showing JPEG

I am a teacher and have used Google Classroom for many years. This year I am having issues with viewing student submissions when they upload images. I have never had this issue in the past. It is giving me a message that a preview of the image cannot be seen.

My technology person has helped me find a workaround. I read something about "Incognito" in some of the other responses. I had no clue as to what this meant. He showed me that if you use "Chrome", click on the file tab (drop-down menu at the top). You should see a choice to open "New Incognito Window". This will open another browser session "incognito". In that mode, if you open your Google Classroom, then you should be able to view these documents. It is frustrating that Apple and Chrome have such a war over their products that the consumers are the victims.

FWIW, I think your frustration is misdirected. Apps such as Chrome and Classroom, need to conform to the platform on which they are being deployed not the other way around. Your argument would indicate that Apple must conform to Microsoft Office, or that Microsoft must conform to Firefox or Apple's Pages.

Apple has put out many apps that will not work on other platforms. My point is that BOTH companies want a monopoly on the market so they will not go out of their way to help make their products work. I am using the same MacBook that I have used for the past 4 years. However, it quit performing the same jobs that were available previously. Those jobs can be performed on other devices. So, I am not sure your response is totally accurate. Back to my original complaint. These two companies Google and Apple will not admit to anything that their product is doing that made this problem begin just this year. It takes users searching and sharing workarounds to find solutions.

Apple has a product feedback page. If you think that Apple needs to conform to Google apps you can let Apple know here: Product Feedback - Apple
