Downloading iCloud photos to Macbook

Does anyone know why iCloud photos are not downloading after selecting a certain amount of photos and clicking on download?

Internet connection is secure
I have restarted several times
Low battery mode is turned off
There is adequate space on my macbook
Software is up to date

After clicking several times, sometimes it starts the download but other times not. Can anyone help?

Uploading photos to iCloud on my MacBook Air has stalled Hello, recently I have made a decision to transition from Google photos to iCloud+ in order not to pay for two different subscriptions and the process of migrating the photos has proven to be more difficult than I thought. My process: Download all Google Photos using Google Takeout into series of 10GB .zip archives In Photos selecting File->Import and choosing to import all the photos from unziped folder All the photos import successfully to a local Photos app Photos app is set to "Optimize Mac storage", some photos were transferred to iCloud however the process quite quickly got stuck in the following state for several hours without any progress: I turned off all battery optimization options, rebooted computer several times, updated all the software, checked multiple wifi access points and left the computer overnight plugged in and logged in, however the progress didn't change at all (Stayed at 8012 items left) I am really disappointed right now because the app doesn't provide me any information for what is wrong. It is really an unacceptable behavior and makes me sad that I am paying for the iCloud+ subscription (I might consider going back to Google who knows) [Re-Titled by Moderator]

OSX Photos says Your iCloud Storage is Full, but it's not... Hi. I decided to move from Google Photos to Apple Photos. I download everything from Google, moved it into Photos on OSX fine. It then tried to move the data to iCloud, and got stalled part way through. I had 50GB, so I upgraded it to a 200GB. But Photos still won't sync anymore and Photos reports "Your iCloud Storage is Full". I've tried: Rebooted the laptop, nothing changed Uploaded directly to iCloud from my laptop (worked fine) Took a new photo on my phone, it synced to iCloud, but not to my laptop. Background: OSX Sequioa 15.5 No pending updates iCloud has ~150GB free Laptop has ~400GB free The only thing reporting an issue is Photos Also, clicking "Manage Storage" next to the "Your iCloud Storage is Full" message does nothing. Select photos in very less number and then click on download .

You have to set up photo library Set up and use iCloud Photos - Apple Support and its preferences Change preferences in Photos on Mac - Apple Support and designated the photo library System Photo Library overview for Photos on Mac - Apple Support .
