Keeping playlists after cancelling subscription

My understanding is that any playlists that contain Apple Music subscription songs go away – there's no option to keep them. (Offline listening copies of subscription songs also stop working and/or go away.)


I suppose you could make manual notes of their contents so that if you purchased the music or resubscribed, you could use the notes to help you manually create the playlists again.
