IPad mini 4 software not being updated. Is there a patch or work around for this? Some of my apps won’t work on the older software.

iOS 15 is the latest OS that the iPad mini 4 can run. It doesn't have the hardware requirements for later versions of the OS. There is no patch, fix or workaround. It's a hardware reality.
