How can I stop my dock from appearing every time I scroll up?

I use an iPad 9th gen and sometimes whenever I scroll up from the bottom of my screen the dock appears. It’s a little bit inconvenient at times and I thought there was a way where we could prevent it from popping up like that but it seems I can’t find anything? I don’t know if it’s just not part of the system or something and that I’ll just have to deal with it?

Be mindful of your finger placement prior to performing the swipe gesture...

By design, your Dock will appear if you swipe-upwards from below (or very close to) the bottom edge of the visible screen. By contrast, swiping from near the bottom of the visible screen will simply scroll the page.

Also be aware that swiping from the corners of the screen tigger different actions.
