The instructions I've found to use my own photo as a background say essentially "Tap on Backgrounds, then select a background, or you can use your own photo...." But when I go to Backgrounds, there isn't an option to select anything besides the colored backgrounds that are there.
Could someone please provide the missing step(s)?

Put a photo in the timeline and use Picture in Picture to overlay your clip. You can adjust the size of the clip in PiP, making it a little smaller than the photo so that you can see the edges of the photo as background.
