Hello Bartieboy557!
Yes, you can download the Release Candidate (RC) version of iOS 18 if you’re enrolled in the Apple Developer Program or the Apple Beta Software Program. The RC version is typically released to developers and beta testers a week or so before the official public release. It is out now for developers.
A few things to keep in mind:
• Stability: The RC version is generally more stable than earlier beta versions, but since it’s still pre-release software, you may encounter bugs or issues. That can brick your phone WORST case scenario.
• Backup: Always back up your device before installing any beta or RC software. This ensures you can restore your device in case you run into problems. Backup before downloading.
• Compatibility: Some apps might not yet be optimized for iOS 18, so make sure any critical apps you rely on will work with the new version. Such as banking, restaurant, and work apps.
If you’re uncertain, it’s always wise to wait for the official release. Feel free to ask if you have any more questions! I'm enrolled in the program and I run beta on all my devices HomePods, AirPods, iPad Pro, Watch, and my iPhone. These are all my daily drivers. I don't run public betas, I run DB's.
